What's New

New Web Address

You should now login to Fusion at https://app.fusionwebclinic.com/

The old address at login.fusionwebclinic.com or update.fusionwebclinic.com will continue to work for now. However, if you have any old links or bookmarks, please replace them with the new address!

Merge Duplicate Physicians

Admins can now merge duplicate physicians from Admin → Basic Setup → Physicians by clicking the new Merge Duplicates button. When two physicians are merged, the information on the Into (physician to keep) physician will be kept, and the information on the Merge (physician to discard) physician will be deleted.

ICD 10 Updates

We’ve updated the ICD 10 diagnosis codes for the FY 2021 updates. Codes that are no longer valid can still be selected in Fusion, as they’re still valid for previous dates of service.

Other Key Updates

  • You might notice it looks a bit different when you look up help articles or receive emails from Fusion Support. To get help with Fusion, you’ll still start by clicking the ? icon in the upper right, then choosing Get Help.
  • As users log in going forward, the Last Login field in Admin → Users will now be shown in the clinic’s time zone. Previously, it was always shown in Eastern Time.
  • When viewing a field on the claim form that can’t be edited, a more detailed message will now explain why it can’t be edited and how to change the information, if applicable.
  • If you try to delete a patient that can’t be deleted, a message will now indicate what is preventing it from being deleted.
  • When editing a document, blank fields in view mode (as opposed to edit mode) will now consistently show a dash. Previously, multi-part fields and fields in the standardized test section only showed a blank space.

What's New

Email or Fax Multiple Documents

You can now email or fax multiple completed documents at once! While viewing a patient’s completed documents, select the checkbox next to the documents you want to send, then click the Send Selected button in the lower right.

Bugs We Squashed

Our engineers corrected several issues you helped bring to our attention. Here are just a few!

  • When loading the Add-Ons page, a warning will no longer appear in the Payment Processing card before the page finishes loading. Previously, a message indicated there was a problem with your account when there really wasn’t.
  • If you refresh a claim for a daily note for a therapist without the signoff permission where the payer is set to bill using the supervisors NPI and there is no supervisor selected on the daily note, the assistant taxonomy for the service type will now appear on the claim form. Previously, the taxonomy was left blank.

This could happen if, for example, a payer was set to bill using the assistant’s NPI, the therapist signed the daily note, and then the payer was then updated to bill using the supervisor’s NPI.

Check out our teletherapy help articles to learn more.

Patient vs. Clinic Appointment Cancellation

When canceling an appointment, you’ll now choose between Patient Canceled  and Clinic Canceled . Use the Clinic Canceled status when you don’t want the cancellation to count toward the patient’s cancellations.

Key Insights and saved reports also now distinguish between patient and clinic cancellations.

Other Key Updates

  • You can now search for patients by their Medical Record number from the “Search Patients…” field in the upper left of Fusion.
  • The clinic’s time zone will now appear in the online appointment notification on the patient portal for joining a teletherapy appointment.
  • You can now include a Teletherapy column in the AppointmentsCharges, and Claims insights, which shows whether the associated appointment is set to use Fusion’s teletherapy.

Bugs We Squashed

Our engineers corrected several issues you helped bring to our attention. Here are just a few!

  • For claims with a location for POS 02, the location’s information will now automatically appear in box 32.
  • When a teletherapy appointment is scheduled or edited for a past date or time, an email is no longer sent to the patient’s contacts.
Note: This is based on the start time of the appointment.
  • For clinics with centralized billing, billers can now assign diagnosis pointers when they open a daily note from Billing → Charges.
  • In an evaluation, the Time Frame option for goals will now work as expected. Previously, only data points since the last assessment could be included.

What's New

Turning Reminders On/Off

When turning a patient’s reminders on or off, the list will no longer scroll to the top of the page. In order to make this work, we needed to slightly change how you turn reminders on or off.

  • Instead of clicking anywhere in the row, click the bell icon to the right of the patient to turn the reminder on or off.
  • When reminders are enabled, the bell icon’s background will be highlighted with your theme’s accent color.

Other Key Updates

  • For clinics with centralized billing, Fusion will remember your scroll position and will no longer refresh to the top of the list when working in the list of charges from the Billing tab.
  • The max length of some fields on the claim form have been extended to accommodate the number of characters that can be included in electronic claims.
  • We’ve adjusted the width and spacing of fields in document sections where a field expands the more you type. This change should help you view more of what you are typing when editing the following sections:
    • The Therapy Activities section in a daily note.
    • The Home Activities section in a daily note.
    • The Goal / Objective Data section in a daily note.
    • The Patient History section in an evaluation.
    • The Outcome Measures section in an evaluation.
Note: The difference in the adjusted width and spacing will vary depending on your screen size.

Bugs We Squashed

  • The proportions of a therapist’s signature will no longer be changed when uploaded. Previously, the signature could appear distorted.

What's New

Update Your Payment Method

If you’re an administrator at your clinic, you’ll see a banner appear across the top of Fusion with a link to update your payment information.

Why? We’re glad you asked!

  • As we continue our efforts to improve Fusion, we are changing to Stripe as the provider we use to accept your method of payment.
  • For your safety, we’ve never stored your full credit card number in our system. Unfortunately, this means we won’t be able to move your payment method for you.

Once your payment method has been updated, the banner will disappear. Thank you for your help during this transition!

Bugs We Squashed

Our engineers corrected several issues you helped bring to our attention. Here are just a few!

  • The SOAPs Days to Completion and Assessments Days to Completion fields in the Users insight will now work as expected for documents going forward. Previously, the date was not being set on documents correctly, so these fields in the report were not correct.
  • Resolved an issue that caused some documents to be missing when scrolling down the list of a patient’s completed documents.
  • You can now edit the invoiced amount for a processed transaction from the invoice. Previously, you could only adjust this amount from the statement.
  • You can no longer click the Sign button on a document if the document’s status is Pending. Previously, the dialog to sign the document would appear, but you couldn’t actually sign off.
  • When signing a document without the signoff permission, the Co-Signer list is now sorted alphabetically by first name.
  • The position of the Visit Signature button on abbreviated daily notes has been corrected to match the position on normal daily notes.
  • Resolved an issue that prevented portal users from changing their password through the My Account icon immediately after resetting their password with a link.
  • When searching for an account in an invoice rule, accounts synced with a patient now show the patient’s name. Previously, the no name appeared for these accounts.

Release Notes – December 2019

Jan 3, 2020 9:21 am

Welcome to the December release notes! This is our monthly highlight reel of changes in Fusion. Click here for a detailed list of changes in each release.

What's New

Updated Check-in Kiosk

The check-in kiosk has been given a facelift! In addition to the cleaner look, you can now search for patients by their first name in case another patient has the same last name and birthdate. The process for checking in a patient on the kiosk remains the same.

Other Key Updates

  • When Fusion is updated, there is often a need for you to refresh your browser to avoid potential issues.  The notification asking you to refresh will now appear in the middle of the screen.  You will be required to refresh your browser after three warnings. If you delay all three warnings, your browser will automatically be refreshed and you will lose any information you were typing that has not yet been saved.
Tip: Close your Internet browser when you leave for the day each Thursday to automatically take care of this for our standard releases.
  • There were some options available behind the scenes that could only be turned on by a member of our support team. We’ve made these available in Clinic Options so admins have control over them.
    • Physician Signatures (Evals)
    • Physician Signatures (Discharges)
    • Mark Same-Day Claims
    • Detailed Invoices
    • Allow Early Charge Submission
  • In the patient dialog under Basic Information, the Gender field has been renamed to Sex to match the field’s name on the claim form.

Coming Soon

As a part of our continuous efforts to improve Fusion, we are changing the provider we use to accept your payment method.  This is a great benefit as our new vendor, Stripe, is a leader in the technology world for payment processing.

As part of this transition, we need your help!  For your safety, we don’t store your full credit card number in Fusion.  Because of this, we’ll need you to enter it into Stripe.  Over the next few weeks, admins on your account will see a banner appear across the top of Fusion with a link to update your information.  As soon as you update your payment method, the banner will go away and your clinic will be ready for the change.

Bugs We Squashed

Our engineers corrected several issues you helped bring to our attention. Here are just a few!

  • Resolved an issue that allowed charges from a daily note to be submitted twice when clicking very fast. This only caused an issue for cases where the charges did not appear on a claim.
  • Resolved an issue that caused the claim summary hover to be cut off on smaller screens.
  • A “network problem” error will no longer appear when navigating to your clinic’s document headers from the Admin tab. Previously, this error message appeared if you had headers that are smaller than 500px wide.
  • Resolved an issue with imports that caused some primary contact records to be duplicated.
